Tacoma, WA: "Hunger Matters" with Rep. Derek Kilmer and an Offering of Letters Workshop
10 am - 11 am: Rep. Derek Kilmer (6th District, WA) leads "Hunger Matters," a conversation about policies that will reduce hunger. This is an opportunity to speak face-to-face on a matter that is of critical importance to us as Christians and as citizens, called to serve “the least of these.”
11 am - Noon: Following this conversation will be Bread for the World's 2014 Offering of Letters Workshop led by Matt Newell-Ching, Bread's Regional Director. Bread's campaign focuses on reforming U.S. food aid in common-sense ways that could reach 4 million additional people worldwide currently experiencing hunger, while also supporting farmers in the developing world. At this interactive workshop, you'll be equipped with the tools and knowledge you need to lead your congregation in an offering of letters. More at www.bread.org/ol
