Urging our nation's leaders to end hunger

Buffalo and Western NY Offering of Letters Workshop
Food for All, Buffalo

Dear Friends in Buffalo and Western New York,

Please join us for a Bread for the World Advocacy Workshop in Buffalo on Saturday, March 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Details are on this page. Sign up today!

This year, Bread for the World's Offering of Letters campaign will ask President Obama and Congress to set a goal and establish a plan to end hunger in the United States and abroad. We will also ask Congress to ensure adequate funding for programs that address hunger and poverty.

During this workshop we will use multimedia and interactive exercises to develop plans to convince our leaders that everyone deserves adequate and nutritious food. The workshop at Food for All will give you tools for organizing a group to write effective letters. You’ll go home prepared to share the Offering of Letters in your church, campus, or community!

You'll also learn more about hunger in New York State from the cosponsoring groups, Food for All, the Faith and Hunger Network, and the Hunger Action Network of New York State. And you'll get a chance to meet your new Bread regional organizer, Larry Hollar.

The cost of the workshop is just $5.00 per person, payable at the event. Ask about scholarships.

Please register using the RSVP button on this page. For questions, contact Larry Hollar at lhollar@bread.org or 937-361-6622.
