Urging our nation's leaders to end hunger

Rochester, NY Offering of Letters Workshop
Third Presbyterian Church, Rochester

Dear Friends in the Rochester area,

Please join us for a Bread for the World Advocacy Workshop in Rochester on Sunday afternoon, March 17, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Details are on this page. Sign up today!

This year, Bread for the World's Offering of Letters campaign will ask President Obama and Congress to set a goal and establish a plan to end hunger in the United States and abroad. We will also ask Congress to ensure adequate funding for programs that address hunger and poverty.

During this free workshop we will use multimedia and interactive exercises to develop plans to convince our leaders that everyone deserves adequate and nutritious food. The workshop at Third Presbyterian Church will give you tools for organizing a group to write effective letters. You’ll go home prepared to share the Offering of Letters in your church, campus, or community!

You'll also learn more about hunger in New York State from the Faith and Hunger Network and Hunger Action Network of New York State. And you'll get a chance to meet your new Bread regional organizer, Larry Hollar.

Please register using the RSVP button on this page. For questions, contact Larry Hollar at lhollar@bread.org or 937-361-6622. Directions and parking information for Third Presbyterian are here: http://thirdpresbyterian.org/worship/index.shtml#directions.
