Scranton--Northeastern PA Bread Offering of Letters Workshop
Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Scranton

Dear Bread Friends in Northeastern Pennsylvania,

Please join us for a Bread for the World Advocacy Workshop in Scranton on Sunday, May 5, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided starting at 12:30 p.m. Details are on this page. Sign up today!

This year, Bread for the World's Offering of Letters campaign, "A Place at the Table," will ask President Obama and Congress to set a goal and establish a plan to end hunger in the United States and abroad. We will also ask Congress to ensure adequate funding for programs that address hunger and poverty.

During this free workshop we will use multimedia and interactive exercises to develop plans to convince our leaders that everyone deserves adequate and nutritious food. The workshop in Scranton will give you tools for organizing a group to write effective letters. You’ll go home prepared to share the Offering of Letters in your church, campus, or community, and with more connections to other hunger advocates in your area!

Please join us for lunch prior to the workshop, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Please register using the RSVP button on this page. For questions, contact Bob Walden at ja-bfw@ppjr.org. For more information on Bread's 2013 advocacy campaign, see www.bread.org/OL.
